When eutectic plates are placed in a conditioning freezer it is important to ensure air circulation around them. The eutectic plates can be charged horizontally or vertically (floor or standing). Your local freezer manufacturer can facilitate upon your request.
Before applying, make sure that the full liquid solution is frozen, if the solution (liquid) in it is fixed it is frozen.
Preparing 18°C to 21°C PCM Plates
Products requiring controlled ambient temperatures often use Phase Change Materials (PCM) rather than conventional eutectic plates. Proper seasonal preparation and positioning of these PCM plates are important for maintaining product temperatures within the desired range.
Depending on ambient temperatures, the PCM plate may need to be charged under different conditions and positioned differently within the insulated container.
