Temperature Management in HoReCa

Since the term “cold chain” is actually used to describe maintaining a low temperature, it would be more accurate to say that products requiring temperature control are “temperature-sensitive.” These products refer to foods and medical supplies that need to be stored or transported within specific temperature ranges. You can find specialized yet lightweight and durable EPP solutions for temperature-sensitive product preservation. So, make the impossible a reality!

Hot food really needs to stay hot.

Hot food must also be stored or delivered within a specific temperature range. Generally, the safe consumption temperature for hot food is above 60°C. This temperature is important for ensuring food safety by preventing the spread of microorganisms. This means that the temperature around the hot food and in the container should be at least 65°C. If hot food is not kept at this temperature, the risk of microorganisms and food poisoning increases. For these reasons, but also for your customer satisfaction!

Therefore, it is important that temperature-controlled products like ice cream are stored or transported at very low temperatures (-21°C), while hot food must be stored or transported at a specific temperature. To meet these requirements, cold logistics methods or temperature-controlled equipment are used. Eutectic plates or PCMs (Phase Change Materials) are used to maintain temperatures for as long as possible. Special heating plates (charged) can maintain temperatures of +75°C for even longer periods.

In conclusion, accurately maintaining the critical temperatures of heat-sensitive foods such as ice cream or hot meals is crucial for food quality and safety. Ensuring appropriate temperature conditions during the transportation and storage of these products guarantees the delivery of reliable and high-quality goods to the consumer.

EPP insulated containers are also durable and reusable. This offers a cost-effective solution and provides an advantage in terms of sustainability. Furthermore, EPP material is hygienic and easy to clean, thus complying with food safety standards. Fruits and vegetables that need to be preserved within a specific temperature range can also be stored in EPP containers.

Besides the Thermo Future Box mentioned here, EPP products include OLIVO “BOX” products and even ROLL containers. Therefore, DEISKO is not the sole supplier of Thermo Future Box (temperature-sensitive product protection).

However, the best price can be provided for quantities of 50 boxes or more, and we can also offer competitive products (from other EPP suppliers) if needed!
